Programs for Dance and FitnessSoul°sa Program Established in the year 2000, the Soul°sa Program has been in ongoing development and growth for the last 9 years. This makes it the Corner Stone of the Energetic Soul Dance Program. It is comprised of a combination of several rhythms and their corresponding dances, working to give students a fundamental understanding of linear and circular partner Salsa dancing. In 2006 duane Wrenn, the creator of Soul°sa and 3 Soul°sa instructors were invited to Vancouver, Canada to teach, perform and judge for the International Cuban event Cuba Baila. This was not the first big event for Energetic Soul; however, it did mark them as International Instructors. It was not until 2007 and 2008 that the Soul°sa program gained new heights, when duane Wrenn and his partner Maribel Vasquez traveled to over 6 different countries and 40 different cities, teaching and testing new limits for the Soul°sa Program. This research, the knowledge gained, and the passion within, is what Energetic Soul Dance Studios brings to you. We Know Salsa! Energetic Salsa ProgramThese solo footwork classes teach all the fundamental building blocks for Soul°sa, our partner dancing classes. Energetic Salsa classes give you the ability to learn Soul°sa steps more quickly and easily without a partner. The Energetic Salsa format has expanded beyond Soul°sa to Energetic Salsa formats for Casino, Timba, Son, Merengue, and Bachata... Take your Casino dancing to the next level by learning Rueda. Are you looking to increase your flexibility? Our signature Alternative Stretch class is just what you need. Come and try our Ladies Styling, Fit For Life, Afro-Cuban Body Movement classes, and we have so much more! Enhance your dancing; enhance your life with the ESDS enhancement classes. Workshops & Master ClassesThese classes are no less then 75 minutes in length with an average time being 90 minutes. The design of the class is to teach more techniques and give more information than is usually taught in regular classes at one time. Classes can be educational, demonstrational (Advanced format) or motivational in nature. Private LessonsPrivate Lessons are the best way to take your training to the next level in a condensed amount of time. Working on a one on one basis, allows the instructor to isolate fundamental issues and find drills to make leading /following and simply moving on the dance floor more efficient. Private PartiesRent ESDS for your next event. Our 7,000 Sq. foot facility is equipped with 2-dance rooms, a common area and kitchen and is ready to host your next event. And whether you are hosting the event in your own home, or other rented venue, you can always hire our staff to add that extra special element to your next event. Special EventsESDS frequently hosts special events. The main events are typically Monthly Socials / Parties and ESDS Enhancement Seminars. Exhibition Team TrainingThe Exhibition Team is the ESDS demonstration team. The team will dance as representatives of ESDS. There are also showcases that the ESDS hosts to show off our students talents. This training is reserved for those dedicated students, who have been members of ESDS for a minimum of 6 months, and who regularly attend a minimum of 2 classes on a weekly basis. Once these requirements are met, anyone can request to be a part of the exhibition team. Instructors Training ProgramThe ESDS ITP is a well-respected program that teaches the Soul°sa Method of Dancing. This Method teaches adapt-ability. Once the instructor in training has undertaken Soul°sa, he/she will find that upon graduation, he/she will be able to take his/her skills and apply them on the dance floor or classroom anywhere in the world. |
